(1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
40.
(f) Charles, St. Mary's and Talbot Counties—The State's Attor-
neys of [Charles,] St. Mary's and Talbot Counties shall each receive
an annual salary of $3,000, and the State's Attorney of Charles
County shall receive an annual salary of $5,000.
The State's Attorney of St. Mary's County shall be allowed twelve
hundred dollars ($1,200.00) annually for clerical expenses and a
six hundred dollar ($600.00) annual rental allowance.
The county commissioners of Charles County are authorized to
appoint an assistant State's Attorney and a Secretary to the State's
Attorney, each to receive a salary of $1,800.00 a year.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not apply to the State's Attorney in office on the effective date
hereof, but the same shall take effect with the next term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section (d)
of Section 303 of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Disposition
of fines and other receipts of the Department", providing that the
cost of debt service to finance bonds for capital improvements to
the Department of Maryland State Police and the Department of
Motor Vehicles of Maryland shall be paid from fines and other
receipts of the Department of Motor Vehicles prior to the creation
and distribution of the Motor Vehicle Revenue Fund.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (d) of Section 303 of Article 66½ of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles",
sub-title "Disposition of fines and other receipts of the Department",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
(d) Transfers to State Treasurer; disposition by him.—Subject
to the provisions of Sections 28, 70, 80 and 124 of this Article, all
