CHAPTER 690
(House Bill 796)

AN ACT to add a new Section 149 (h) to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title
"Alcoholic Beverages," sub-title "Boards of License Commission-
ers," said new section to follow immediately after Section 149 (g)
thereof, relating generally to the powers and duties of the inspector
for the Board of License Commissioners of Prince George's County
and requiring him to furnish a bond.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 149 (h) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Sup-
plement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-title "Boards of License
Commissioners," said new section to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 149 (g) thereof, and to read as follows:

149.

(h) (Prince George's County.) The inspector appointed for Prince
George's County shall have all the powers of a Peace Officer or a
Constable or Sheriff of the State of Maryland, and shall make oath
to faithfully perform the duties entrusted to him, as provided in
Article 1, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Maryland, and
he shall furnish bond in the penalty of $2,000.00 to the Board of
License Commissioners of Prince George's County and the Board of
County Commissioners of Prince George's County jointly, con-
ditioned, that said inspector shall well and faithfully execute the
said office in all things appertaining thereto. The cost of said bond
shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Prince George's County.
The inspector of Prince George's County shall be known as "Alco-
holic Beverage Inspector for Prince George's County." The inspector
shall have the duty of visiting and inspecting every licensed premise
in Prince George's County periodically and carrying on such other
duties as the Board of License Commissioners of Prince George's
County might prescribe.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
