(f) Deposit of marbles in jury box.

After the selection of the list of 150 persons has been completed,
the judge, or the clerk of court, in the presence of the judge, shall
remove the numbered marbles from the jury board and place the
same in the largest compartment of the several drawers in the jury
box as follows: those numbered from 1 to 19, inclusive, in drawer
No. 1; those numbered from 20 to 37, inclusive, in drawer No. 2;
those numbered from 38 to 72, inclusive, in drawer No. 3; those
numbered from 73 to 95, inclusive, in drawer No. 4; those numbered
from 96 to 127, inclusive, in drawer No. 5; those numbered 128 to
137, inclusive, in drawer No. 6; and those numbered from 138 to 150,
inclusive, in drawer No. 7, whereupon all of the drawers shall be
closed.

251. (a) Selection of jury panel.

As soon as the numbered marbles have been deposited in the jury
box pursuant to the provisions of Sub-section (f) of Section 249
250,
the judge shall cause the clerk of court, or one of his deputies, whom
the judge shall designate, (neither the one nor the other so designated
having been present when the list of 150 persons was selected or
when the numbered marbles were placed in the jury box), to appear
before him and then and there, in the presence of the judge, and such
other persons as may be present, if any, after a thorough stirring of
said numbered marbles so that they shall be well mixed, and without
looking in the drawer, to draw from the seven drawers, consecutively,
beginning with drawer No. 1, 48 of the numbered marbles as follows:
6 from drawer No. 1; 6 from drawer No. 2; 12 from drawer No. 3; 7
from drawer No. 4; 10 from drawer No. 5; 3 from drawer No. 6; and
4 from drawer No. 7.

(b)  List of jurors.

The names of the persons corresponding to the numbered marbles
drawn shall be recorded by the judge, or the clerk of court, in the
presence of the judge, in the order drawn, and shall also record the
number corresponding to the name of the person drawn.

(c)  Venire facias.

After the drawing of the jurors has been completed, the judge shall
forthwith order a venire facias to issue, directed to the sheriff of
Queen Anne's County, commanding him to summons as jurors, to
attend at the next ensuing jury term, the several persons whose
names were drawn pursuant to Sub-section (a) of this section.

(d)  Locking and sealing of jury box.

As soon as the panel of 48 jurors has been drawn the jury box shall
be locked and sealed with an appropriate seal signed by the judge,
the key to be sealed in an envelope, appropriately marked to assure
identification, and delivered to the clerk of court, and said jury box
shall not thereafter be opened except in the presence of and by the
authority of the judge.

(e)  Inability to summon a juror.

If any of the persons whose names are so drawn shall be deceased,
ill, absent or otherwise unable to attend for any reason, the sheriff
shall forthwith return such person as not summoned stating, if he
