amended, during the same fiscal year and the four preceding fiscal
years, exceeds (2) the aggregate of the amounts used pursuant to
such Section 903 and charged against the monies credited to the
account of the State during any of such five fiscal years.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the monies authorized to
be used by the provisions of Section 1 of this Act shall be used by
the Executive Director of the Department of Employment Security
for the purchase of real property and/or the purchase or erection of
a building or buildings thereon for the use of the Department of
Employment Security of Maryland, all subject to the approval of
the Board of Public Works.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That no part of the monies
authorized to be used by Section 1 of this Act shall be used after the
close of the two-year period which begins on the date of enactment
hereof. Any unused monies authorized by Section 1 shall revert to
Maryland's account in the Unemployment Trust Fund at the earliest
practical date but in no event later than at the close of such two-year
period.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1958.

CHAPTER 2
(Senate Bill 2)
AN ACT making an emergency appropriation for the payment of the
expenses of the General Assembly of Maryland for the Extraordi-
nary Session of 1958.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000), or so much
thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
as an emergency appropriation from any funds in the General Sur-
plus Fund Account of the Treasury of the State for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1958, for the payment of the officers and employees
of the General Assembly of Maryland of the Extraordinary Session
of 1958 and for the expenses of said Session, including mileage and
expenses of the members, printing, binding and miscellaneous
expenses.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the
State shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, disburse the said
sum of money herein appropriated for the objects and purposes
herein specified, to or upon the order of the person or persons entitled
to receive the same.
