House Resolution No. 1—By the Speaker:
House Resolution commending the Honorable J. Patrick Fitzgerald
for his service in the General Assembly.
The members of the House of Delegates have learned with regret
that the Honorable J. Patrick Fitzgerald will not be a candidate to succeed
himself as a member of the delegation from the Fifth District of Balti-
more City.
Mr. Fitzgerald has rendered most creditable service to the people
of the district and to the entire State of Maryland during the years he
spent in Annapolis.
We wish to congratulate him for a fine record as a legislator and wish
him every success and happiness for the future. Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That the hearty
commendation of this House be expressed to the Honorable J. Patrick
Fitzgerald, a member of the delegation from the Fifth District of Balti-
more City, for the great record he has compiled in serving the people of
Maryland; and be it further
Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the House be instructed to send
a copy of this Resolution to Delegate Fitzgerald.
