of Prince-George's county, and four directors of said bank, shall
constitute a board of directors of said bank, and be competent and
sufficient to transact the. general business of Raid bank.
2. And be it enacted, That all provisions of any act or acts here-
tofore passed, which are repugnant to or inconsistent with this act,
be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAP. LXXXI.

An Act to authorise the Orphans Court of Washington County to appoint a
Crier.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
orphans court of Washington county is hereby authorised, whenever
they shall consider it necessary, to appoint a crier for their said
court, and the said crier shall lie entitled to receive two dollars per
day, for each day he shall attend on the said court, to be levied
and paid as other county charges are.

CHAP. LXXXII.

An Act to confirm the Proceedings in the Partition of the Real Estate of Richard
Hawkins, of Harford County, deceased.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the pro-
ceedings of Harford county court, and the commissioners appointed
by them under a petition for the partition of the real estate of
Richard Hawkins, late of Harford county, deceased, be and the
same are hereby confirmed, and that the said commissioners, or
the survivors of them, or a majority of the survivors of them, be
and they are hereby authorised, as commissioners, to receive from
any person in whom the legal title to the said real estate, or any
part thereof, may be, a conveyance of the same, and to convey to
the purchaser or purchasers, under their proceedings, all such title,
both at law and in equity, as they might or could have done had
the conveyance last aforesaid been made to the said Richard Haw-
kins in his life time; Provided, that nothing in this act shall be
construed to impair the rights of creditors, either of the said Richard
Hawkins, or of the person or persons making the conveyance as
aforesaid to the commissioners.

CHAP. LXXXIII.

An Act to confirm the Partition of the Real Estate or the late Benoni Williams,
as made by Commissioners appointed by Cecil County Court

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
partition of the real estate of Benoni Williams, late of Cecil coun-
ty, deceased, as made by commissioners appointed by Cecil coun-
ty court, and returned, or to be. returned to the said court, be and
the same is hereby confirmed, and that the heirs at law of the said
Benoni Williams be, and they are. hereby declared to be, entitled
to elect to take each a share or portion of the same, giving a pre-
ference to seniority in age, and the minors elect ing to take by their
guardians, upon the same terms and in the same manner as is pre-
scribed in the act of assembly, passed at November session seven-
teen hundred and eighty-six, entitled, An act to direct descents,
and the several supplements thereto, where the same is not incon-
sistent with the provisions of this act.
