CHAP. 78.

Time allowed for
completing road

gulations

cution of their works, provided the said real estate shall not exceed
ten acres in any one lot or parcel, and of suing and being sued, an-
swering and being answered unto, and the said company shall have
power to make a seal, and alter, break, or renew the same, at
pleasure.
5. And be it enacted, That the said company shall have the time
of seven years, from the first day of June next, to complete the
said road.
6. And be it enacted, That all and every of the provisions and re-
gulations contained in the act of the general assembly, entitled, An
act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from the
Town of Westminster, in Frederick county, through Harman's
Gap, to Hagers-Town, in Washington county, passed at November
session eighteen hundred and nine, chapter ninety-six, except so far
as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions of this act, are
extended to, and shall be considered as constituting a part of this
act; Provided nevertheless, that it shall not be necessary to stone
the said road, if the same is capable of being made to answer all
the purposes of stoning the same by other means, in as full and
ample a manner as stoning the same would do, which shall be ad-
judged of by three commissioners, to be appointed by the county
court of Allegany, who are hereby authorised and required
to make such appointment, when application shall be made by the
said Skipton Turnpike Company, for such appointment to be made;
and the said road shall be so nearly level in its progress as that it
shall in no place rise or fall more than will form an angle of five
degrees, with a horizontal line, and shall hereafter, during the
continuance of the said corporation, maintain and keep the same
in perfect order and repair.

CHAP. LXXIX.

An Act to divorce Thomas F. Ward and Ann Ward from Bed and Board.
1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Tho-
mas F. Ward, of Saint Mary's county, be and he. is hereby divorced
from bed, board, and mutual cohabitation, with his wife Ann
Ward.
2. And be it enacted, That all the right and title which the said
Thomas F. Ward, by virtue of his marriage with the said Ann
Ward, had acquired to any property to which she is or may be-
come entitled to in any way or manner whatever, be and the same is
hereby annulled and made void, and she is hereby declared to be
capable to have, hold, receive, sue for and recover, by com-
promise, suit or suits, in law or equity, all such property, in as full
and ample manner as if she were a feme sole, and had never been
married, and to hold, use, or enjoy the same, for her own use and
benefit, and the same to dispose of according to her will and plea-
sure, without, the molestation, hindrance, interference or consent,
of her said husband, in the same manner as she could or might
have done were she a feme sole.
