CHAP. 66.

Books to be lodged
in clerk's office

3. And be it enacted, That the said Ruth Tolson, before she da-
rives any benefit from or under this act, shall lodge the said John
Tolson's collection books in the clerk's office of Queen Anne's coun-
ty, to be open for the inspection of all persons interested in the same.

CHAP. LXVII.

An Act relating to the summoning Jurors to the City Court of Baltimore
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That here-
after the sheriff of Baltimore county shall summon the usual num-
ber of petit jurors, to serve for the first three weeks of each term
of the city court of Baltimore, and should the said court continue
its session longer than three weeks, it shall be the duty of the said
sheriff to summon the like number of petit jurors to serve during
the remainder of the term.

chap. LXVIII.

An Act providing for taking the bond of John Stevenson, Sheriff of Baltimore
County.
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
chief judge of Baltimore county court, or any one of the associates,
be and he is hereby authorised and empowered, to take the bond of
John Stevenson, sheriff of Baltimore county, and approve of the
securities, on or before the first day of March next, in the same
manner and form as is prescribed by law, which said bond, when
so taken as aforesaid, and recorded according to law, shall have
the same effect, validity and operation, to every intent and purpose
in law, as if the same had been taken within the time prescribed by
law, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAP. LXIX.
An Act extending the. time of taking the Bond of the Sheriff of Saint-Mary's
County.
Whereas it is provided by an act of the general assembly, pas-
sed at November session seventeen hundred and ninety-four, entitled,
An act for the amendment of the law in certain cases, that the
sheriff's bonds shall hereafter be taken on some day between the
eighth of October and the first of January in each year: And
whereas William T. Maddox, sheriff of Saint-Mary's county, hath
not entered into bond for the year eighteen hundred and twenty,
agreeably to said act; therefore,
1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,, That the time
of taking the bond of said sheriff of Saint-Mary's county, be ex-
tended to the sixteenth day of February next, and that if the said
sheriff, at any time before or on the sixteenth day of February
next, give bond agreeable to the provisions of the said recited act,
the said bond shall have the same effect, to all intents and purposes,
as if the said bond had been taken on or before the time prescribed
by the said law.

1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Wal-
ter K. White, James Hopkins, John Ridout, John D. Taylor and
Thomas Emory, or a majority of them, be and they are hereby
appointed commissioners to erect a bridge over the Narrows at
