CHAPTER 158.

An act for the benefit of the Children of Joseph Ennalls of
Joseph.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the tract or parcel of land situated in Dorchester county, divised
to the child or children of Maria Ennalls, the wile of Joseph En-
nalls of Joseph, by the last will and testament of a certain Levin
Ball, late of the same county, deceased, shall be deemed and con-
sidered as pledged for the repayment to Joseph Ennalls, the hus-
band of the said Maria, of the money advanced by the said Joseph
Ennalls to the state of Maryland, in order to discharge the claim of
the state against the said tract or parrel of land.
2. Provided however, and be it enacted, That nothing in this act
shall authorise and empower the said Joseph Ennalls, or any other
person interested in the said pledge, to take any steps to effect the
sale of the said land, with the view of securing the repayment of
the said money, so as aforesaid advanced, until alter the end and
expiration of five years.

An act to confirm an act, entitled, An act to alter such parts
of the Constitution and Form of Government as relate to
appointments to Offices of Profit and Trust by the Go-
vernor and Council.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the act, entitled, An act to alter such parts of the constitution and
form of government as relate to appointments to offices of profit
and trust by the governor and council, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and seventeen, be and the same is hereby confirm-
ed.

CHAPTER 160.

An act for the benefit of James F. Huston, Administrator
of Tobias Butler, deceased, late Clerk of Frederick
county.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
James F. Huston, administrator of Tobias Butler, be and he is
hereby authorised and empowered, to send out any fees due the es-
tate of Tobias Butler, deceased, late clerk of Frederick county,
for the years eighteen hundred and fifteen, or eighteen hundred and
sixteen, and the sheriff of Frederick county is hereby authorised
and directed, to collect the said fees in the same manner as officers
fees are collected; Provided, that the said James F. Huston, as ad-
ministrator aforesaid, send out the said fees on or before the first
day of April next.

CHAPTER 161.

An act to authorise the Justices of the Levy Court of Dor-
chester County to levy a sum of money for the purposes
therein mentioned.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Dorchester county, if in their
opinion the public interest shall require it, be and they are hereby
