3. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act or acts to which
this is a supplement as are not inconsistent with, or repugnant to,
this law, shall have as full force and operation as if the same had
been incorporated into this law, and all such parts thereof as shall
be inconsistent with, or repugnant to this act, shall be and the
same are hereby repealed and made void.

CHAPTER 69.
An act to confirm an act, entitled, An act to alter and change
all and every part of the Constitution and Form of Go-
vernment as relates to the Attorney-General.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
an act passed at December session eighteen hundred sixteen, en-
titled, An act to alter and change all and every part of the consti-
tution and form of government as relates to the attorney-general,
shall be and the same is hereby confirmed.

CHAPTER 70.
An act to establish and incorporate the Patapsco Canal
Company.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John Donnell, Roswell S. Colt, Jeremiah Sullivan, Richard Caton,
Solomon Etting, James Ellicott, John M'Henry, James Carroll,
John Hoffman. Isaac M'Kim, Alexander McDonald, Isaac Phil-
lips, William H. Winder, William Lorman, Robert. G. Harper and
John E. Howard, junior, or such of them as will consent to act,
be and they are hereby appointed commissioners, and they or a
majority of them, are hereby authorised and empowered, to open
subscriptions on the first Monday in May next, in the city of Bal-
timore, for stock not exceeding one million of dollars, in shares
of one hundred dollars, for the purpose of making a canal from
such point on Patapsco river, above tide water, as may be deemed
most advantageous to the city of Baltimore; and that said com-
missioners give twenty days notice in the newspapers published in
Baltimore previous to the said first Monday of May, of the place
where such subscriptions will be received.
2. And be it enacted, That all individuals and bodies politic and
corporate, be and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
subscribe for such amount of said stock as they may think proper.
3. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners shall keep the
Raid subscription open on the day which may be appointed as here-
in before directed, from ten o'clock in the morning till three
o'clock in the afternoon, and in the same manner between the same
hours in the two ensuing days.
4. And be it enacted, That every subscriber at the time of sub-
scribing shall pay to the said commissioners on each share sub-
scribed, the sum of two and an half dollars, for which the said
commissioners shall give a certificate as the evidence of such sub-
scription and payment.
5. And be it enacted, That if at the conclusion of the third day of
subscription there shall have been a greater sum subscribed for
