CHAPTER 43.

All act for the support of Evan Price of Montgomery
County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Montgomery county shall be and
they are hereby authorised and empowered, at their levy court, an-
nually, to assess and levy on the assessable property of said coun-
ty, the sum of forty dollars, for the support and maintenance of
the said Evan Price, and that the same be collected annually by
the collector of Montgomery county, and paid to the said Evan
Price, or his order.

CHAPTER 44.

An act to authorise Edward Brown, late Sheriff and Col-
lector of Kent County, to complete his Collections.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Edward Brown, late sheriff and collector of Kent county, be and
he is hereby authorised and empowered, to collect, until the first
day of January eighteen hundred and nineteen, all balances due
him as sheriff and collector of Kent county, in the same manner
as he could or might have done within the time limited by law, any
law to the contrary notwithstanding.
2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the said Ed-
ward Brown, before he proceeds to execute the property of any
person or persons for public dues or fees, in virtue of this act, to
deliver to such person or persons chargeable with the same, at least
thirty days previous to levying such execution, an account written
in words at full length, of the public fees and dues demanded of
him, her or them, with an affidavit annexed, that he hath not re-
ceived any part thereof, nor any thing as security or satisfaction
for the same, more than credit given, (if any) to the best of his
knowledge and belief.
3. And be it enacted, That the said Edward Brown, before he
derives any benefit from or under this act, shall lodge his collection
books in the clerk's office of Kent county, to be open for the in-
spection of all persons interested in the same.

CHAPTER 45.

An act for the benefit of James Tidball, of the County of
Allegany.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
James Tidball, of the county of Allegany, be and he is hereby au-
thorised and empowered, to remove and bring into this state, at
any time within twelve months after the passage of this act, a ne-
gro woman named Jenny, and her two children named Philip and
Ansom, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
2. And be it enacted, That nothing herein contained shall autho-
rise the said James Tidball to sell and dispose of said negroes, until
they shall have resided in this state three whole years next pre-
ceding said sale.
