one share, shall be eligible to vote or become a trustee at all
future elections, provided that in the event of an election not be-
ing holden on the aforesaid day, this corporation shall not be con-
sidered as dissolved, but ten days shall be allowed to hold the said
election; trustees in office to retain their powers till such election.
12. And be it enacted, That the votes for trustees shall be given
by ballot, either in person or by proxy, signified under the hand
of the stockholder.

CHAPTER 185.

A supplement to an act, entitled, An act authorising a Lot-
tery to raise a sum of money for the improvement of
the Navigation of Corsica Creek in Queen-Anne's County.
Whereas, several of the persons who were appointed managers
by the act to which this is a supplement, are now dead, and the sum
authorised to be raised is not deemed sufficient for the purpose
therein mentioned, Therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
James Barroll, George Hayne, Nathaniel Pearce, and Henry D.
Sollers, be added to the managers who now survive and were ap-
pointed managers by the act to which this a supplement, and that
they, or a majority of them, shall be authorised to proceed actor-
ding to the provisions of the said act to raise a sum not exceeding
fifteen thousand dollars, provided the said commissioners, or
a majority of them, shall execute a bond pursuant to the
provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, in the penalty
of thirty thousand dollars.

CHAPTER 186.

An act to incorporate the Horn an Catholic Free School in
the City of Baltimore.
Whereas, the Most Reverend Ambrose Marechal, Archbishop
of Baltimore, the Reverend Enoch Fenwick, rector of St. Peter's
Church in the city of Baltimore, and sundry, other persons, mem-
bers of the said church, have associated for the purpose of main-
taining and educating poor children, and instructing them in the
Christian religion, and have petitioned to be incorporated; and this
general assembly being willing to encourage all good institutions.
Therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Most Reverend Archbishop Ambrose Marechal, the Reverend
Enoch Fenwick, John Hillen, Thomas C. Jenkins. John Parsons,
Patrick Tiernan, David Williamson, junior, and John Sinnott,
and their successors in office, who shall be duly elected in the man-
ner herein after mentioned, are hereby declared to be one commu-
nity, corporation and body politic, for ever hereafter, by the name
and style of The President and Directors of the Roman Catholic
Free School in the City of Baltimore, and by that name they shall
he and are hereby made able and capable in law to have, purchase,
receive, possess, enjoy and retain, to them and their successors,
lands, tenements, rents, annuities, pensions, and other heredita-
ments, in fee simple, or for terms of years, life, lives or otherwise,
and also goods, chattels or effects, of what nature, quality, or kind
