Private roads
may be opened
in certain cas-
es.

2. And be it enacted, That in every case wherein the levy court
of Baltimore county may have adjudged and ordered that any part
of the old road, commonly called the Old Philadelphia or Post Road,
shall or may be shut up and enclosed, provided a private road of
outlet be made from the said old road into the said turnpike road,
as a private way for any individual or individuals, then and in every
such case the Baltimore and Havre-de-Grace turnpike company shall
have full power and authority, and they are hereby authorised and
empowered, to locate, open and make, or cause to be located, open-
ed and made, the said private road of the width required and pre-
scribed by the said order of the said levy court, and in a direction
to the said turnpike road, as short and straight as the nature of the
ground will admit; and in case any person should be injured by the
passing of the said private road through his or her land, such per-
son shall be indemnified by an application to Baltimore county
court, who are hereby authorised to proceed upon any such appli-
cation, in the manner and form prescribed in similar cases by the
act to which this is an additional supplement.

chapter 134.
An act to authorise Thomas Kent, late Collector of the Tax
for Queen-Anne's County, to complete his Collections.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Thomas Kent, late collector of the tax for Queen-Anne's county,
be and he is hereby authorised and empowered to collect, until the
first day of January eighteen hundred and nineteen, all sums due
him as collector of Queen-Anne's county, in the same manner as
he could or might have done within the time limited by law, any
law to the contrary notwithstanding.
2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the said Tho-
mas Kent, before he proceeds to execute the property of any per-
son or persons for public dues in virtue of this act, to deliver to
such person or persons chargeable with the same, at least thirty
clays previous to the levying such execution, an account, written in
words at full length, of the public dues demanded of him, her or
them, with an affidavit annexed, that he hath not received any part
thereof, nor any thing as security or satisfaction for the same, more
than credit given, (if any) to the best of his knowledge and belief.
3. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas Kent, before he de-
rives any benefit from or under this act, shall lodge his collection
books in the clerk's office of Queen-Anne's county, to be open for
the inspection of all persons interested in the same.

CHAPTER 135.

An act authorising the Sale of the Real Estate of Samuel
Wilson, late of Somerset County, deceased.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Leah Wilson, widow of Samuel Wilson, late of Somerset county,
deceased, be and she is hereby authorised and empowered, to sell
and dispose of all the real estate, situate and lying in Somerset
county, whereof the said Samuel Wilson died seised, and by a good
and sufficient deed to convey all the right and title of the said
Samuel Wilson, and his heirs, to the same.
