him as a last will and testament, he devised the same to James
Cudjo, his son, for life, with remainder to Edward Cudjo and Ri-
chard Cudjo, his grand-children in fee, but that the said paper
was not executed according to law, having but two witnesses there-
to; and the said James not being born in lawful wedlock, the same
may be liable to escheat,
Sec. 1. Be it therefore enacted, by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all the right of the state to the said lot of land is hereby
relinquished, and all the right, title and interest, which the said
Joseph Cudjo had in the lot aforesaid, is hereby vested in the said
James Cudjo for life, and in the said Edward Cudjo and Richard
Cudjo in fee.

CHAPTER 121.

An act for the relief of sundry Poor Out Pensioners of Anno
Arundel County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Anne-Arundel county be and they are hereby au-
thorised and empowered, at their annual meeting, so long as they
see cause so to do, to assess and levy on the assessable pro-
perty of said county, for the use of William Phelps, John Cole,
Milchar Gardener, Mary Larmer, William Lilly, and Catharine
M'Coy, the sum of thirty dollars each; to Mary Hughes for the
use of her son Edward Hughes, the sum of thirty dollars; to Joshua
Rowles for the use of Isaac Cleveland the sum of thirty dollars; to
Caleb Hobbs the sum of sixty dollars; which said sums of money,
when collected, shall be paid over annually by the collector of Anne
Arundel county to the above named persons, or their orders.

CHAPTER 122.

An act to repeal an act, entitled, An act making a Public
Landing Place in Somerset County, and for other purposes.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the act making a public landing place in Somerset county, on the
lands formerly belonging to Planner Williams, deceased, now in
the possession of the heirs of Amelia Gale, be and the same is here-
by repealed.

CHAPTER 123.

An act for the relief of Catharine Freshour of Frederick
County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said Catharine Freshour be and she, is hereby divorced from the
bed, board, and mutual cohabitation, with her said husband Jacob
Freshour.
2. And be it enacted, That all the right and title which the said
Jacob Freshour, by virtue of his marriage with said Catharine, had
acquired to any property which she is or may become entitled to,
in any way or manner whatever, be and the same is hereby annul-
led and made void; and that the said Catharine be and she is here-
by declared to be capable to have, hold, take, receive, sue for and
recover, by compromise, suit or suits in law or in equity, all such pro-
perty, in as full and ample a manner as if she were a feme sole, and
