Proviso.

allowed him in going to, and returning from, the court, and to be
levied, collected and paid, in the same manner, and at the same
time, with his per diem allowance; Provided, that the said itine-
rant charges shall be allowed to each of the said jurors only for
once coming to, and once returning from, the said court, at any
one term.

CHAPTER 47.

An act to confirm the Title of James Alexander and John
Alexander, of Harford County, to certain lands therein
mentioned.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed of conveyance from Jabez Kirkwood, and Mary
bis wife, to James Alexander and John Alexander, bearing date
on or about the twelfth day of March, in the year eighteen hun-
dred and eight, and the deed of conveyance from Thomas liar.
licit, and Isabel his wife, to the said James Alexander and John
Alexander, bearing date on or about the first day of May, in the
year one thousand eight hundred and eleven, and also the deed
of conveyance from Isabel Alexander, to the said James Alexan-
der and John Alexander, bearing date on or about the nineteenth
day of May, in the year one thousand eight hundred and eight,
which several deeds are duly executed, acknowledged and record-
ed, among the land records of Harford county, shall have the
same force and effect, to vest in the said James Alexander and
John Alexander, their heirs and assigns, a title to the said pro-
perty as if they had been naturalized agreeably to the laws of the
United States at the time of the execution of the said several
deeds; Provided, that the said James and John Alexander shall
have become naturalized within one year from the passage of this
act, or within the like period after enabled so to be by the laws
of the United States; And provided also, that nothing herein con-
tained shall in any wise affect or impair the right of any person
or persons to said lands which shall have been acquired before
the passage of this act.
2. And be it enacted, That if the said James and John Alexan-
der, or either of them, shall die before the periods herein allow-
ed for their being naturalized, the lands by them purchased as
aforesaid shall nevertheless pass to their legal representatives, in
the same manner as if they had become naturalized.

Passed Jan. 4.

Thirty dollars
to be levied for
his support.

CHAPTER 48.

An act for the support of James Ridgaway, of Caroline
County.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Caroline county be and they are hereby
authorised and empowered, to assess and levy annually, on the
assessable property of said county, so long as they shall see fit
so to do, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the
support and maintenance of James Ridgaway of said county, to
be collected as other county charges are, and by the collector
paid over to the said James Ridgaway, or las order, -
