collected for the use of such sheriff as other county charges are ;
Provided, that before such levy be made, the levy court of said
county shall be satisfied that the schedule returned by such deb-
tors, as required by said act, doth not contain property sufficient
to pay such fees, and such sheriff shall also make oath, that he
hath not received said fees, or any security or satisfaction for
the same.

CHAPTER 30.

An act for the benefit of the Rector of Saint John's Pa-
rish, in Harford and Baltimore Counties.
Whereas it is represented to this general assembly, by the
rector and vestry of Saint John's Parish, in Harford and Balti-
more counties, that by the last will and testament of Jeremiah
Eaton, and by an act of assembly passed in June, in the year
one thousand seven hundred and nineteen, the rectors of said pa-
rish became entitled to a certain tract of land in Harford county,
called Stockley Manor, or Stock Flemmen: And whereas the
rector and vestry of said parish are, desirous of selling said land,
for the purpose of vesting the proceeds thereof in some monied
institution for the benefit of the present rector, and his succes-
sors, Therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the vestry of Saint John's Parish, in Harford and Balti-
more counties, or a majority of them, be and they are hereby au-
thorised and empowered, to sell and dispose of the tract of land
situated in Harford county, and known by the name of Stockley
Manor, or Stock Flemmen, and they are hereby also empowered
to convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers in fee simple;
and the said vestry, or a majority of them, shall have full power
to vest the money arising from such sale, in such monied institu-
tion as in their opinion will best conduce to the interest of the
present rector, and his successors.

CHAPTER 31.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Montgomery Coun-
ty to levy a sum of money to complete the repairs of the
Gaol of said County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Montgomery county be,
and they are hereby authorised and empowered, to assess and le-
vy on said county, such sum of money as may be necessary to
Complete the repairs of the gaol of said county.

CHAPTER 32.

An act to repeal all that part of the Constitution and Form
of Government as relates to the division of Allegany
County into six separate Election Districts.
Whereas it is represented to this general assembly, that
great convenience would result to the voters of Allegany county
by increasing the number of election districts in said county :
