Vacancies.

Robertson died seised, to the purchaser or purchasers of the
same, which deed or deeds shall be recorded among the land re-
cords of Montgomery county aforesaid, within the time prescrib-
ed for recording other deeds.
4. And be it enacted, That the money arising out of the sale of
said lands, in the hands of the said trustees, after paying the wi-
dow such sum of money as the aforesaid trustees, or a majority
of them, may think her entitled to, not exceeding the one-seventh
nor less than the one-tenth of the net amount produced by the
said sale or sales, after deducting expenses, for her right of dow-
er in the lands aforesaid, and deducting the expenses of the sale
of said lands, to he ascertained by the orphans court of Montgo-
mery county aforesaid, and after the payment of the debts duo
by the estate of (lie said Samuel Robertson, and after repaying to
the executors of the said Samuel Robertson any monies which
they may have advanced for the said estate, or for the education
and maintenance of the children of the said Samuel Robertson,
shall be paid over to the guardian or guardians of the heirs of
said Samuel Robertson, under the direction of the orphans
court of Montgomery county aforesaid.
5. And be it enacted, That if the widow shall refuse to take
such sum of money as the trustees, or a majority of them, shall
offer her for her dower, then and in that case the aforesaid trus-
tees, or a majority of them, shall have power to lay off the wi-
dow's dower, in all the lands which her husband died seised, and
wherein she is entitled to dower, and make return of their pro-
ceedings to Montgomery county court, to be recorded amongst
the land records of said county.
6. And be it enacted, That in case either of the said trustees
shall die, or refuse to act, then it shall and may be lawful for the
orphans court of Montgomery county, upon the application of
the parties interested, to appoint a trustee or trustees in place, of
such person or persons so dying or refusing to act, who, before he
or they shall act as trustee, shall execute a bond to be approved
as aforesaid, and recorded, and may be sued on as aforesaid.

CHAPTER 167.

A Supplement to the Act, entitled, An act for the relief of
the Poor of Queen Anne's County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Queen Anne's county be, and they are here-
by authorised and empowered, for the present year, and no
longer, to levy a sum of money not exceeding one thousand dol-
lars, or a less sum, at their discretion, in addition to that already
allowed by law, on the assessable property of said county, which
said additional sum shall be collected in the same manner as di-
rected by the act to which this is supplement.
2. And be it enacted, That the said sum of money, when so as
aforesaid collected, shall be paid by the collector to the, trustees
of the poor of said county, or to their order, who are hereby
authorised and required to receive and apply the same to and
for the use, benefit and charge, of maintaining the poor of said
county.
