cerned in the faithful performance of said trust; and thereupon
the said trustee or trustees shall be invested with all the power and
authority given by the law to which this is a supplement, to
the said Ann Gibson, and all other power relative to the sale of
the real estate of the said Thomas Gibson deceased.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all such parts of the
act to which this is a supplement as are inconsistent with the
provisions of this act, be and are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 86.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to lay out and make
public a road in Baltimore county.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That if the applicants for the road authorised to be
laid out by the act to which this is a supplement, and who are
to pay the damages sustained by reason of opening the same,
shall think themselves aggrieved by the valuation and assess-
ment of damages made by the commissioners appointed under
the act to which this is a supplement, it shall be lawful for
them to apply to some justice, of the peace for Baltimore coun-
ty, who shall upon such application issue his warrant under his
band and seal to the sheriff of said county, directing him to
summons twelve disinterested freeholden residents of said
county, to meet on the premises on a certain day after giving
at least six days notice to the party or parties interested, who
•hall, after taking an oath before some justice of the peace, that
they will without favor, affection, prejudice or partiality assess
the damages sustained by any person or persons by reason of
opening the said road through his, her or their land, (as the
ease may be,) proceed to value and assess the damages
accordingly, taking into consideration the advantages and dis-
advantages; and such inquisition and valuation shall be final
and conclusive between the parties respectively.

CHAPTER 87.

An act to open a road in Washington County.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Washington county are
hereby authorised and directed to appoint three commissioners
to lay out and open a road towards Green Castle, if in their
opinion the game be necessary and conducive to the public
convenience of the inhabitants thereof, which commissioners
when so appointed shall lay out and survey, or cause to be sur-
veyed, a road from the north west end of Jonathan Street in
Hager's-Town in Washington county, in as straight a direc-
tion towards Green Castle as far as the Pennsylvania line as
the nature of the ground will admit of, and the restrictions
herein after mentioned,
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That if any of the commis-
sioners as aforesaid shall die, or refuse to act, then in that case
the levy court of Washington county shall and may appoint
another person or persons in his or their stead.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the commissioners
aforesaid, or a majority of them, shall proceed forthwith to lay
out the aforesaid road not exceeding thirty three feet in width
in the manner herein before directed, and execute, sign and seal
a plain plot of the same, with explicit explanations thereof,
