long the said county road, till it crosses the town, parallel
with the southern extremity thereof and reaches the sink, or
fully extending; in the rear of L D. Teack'e's grounds; that,
the western precincts of the said town shall contain all those
lots or parcels of ground which are embraced by the line ex-
tending northerly with the said sink or gully, in the rear of said
Teackle's grounds, till in strikes the Menokin river, and thence
up the river to the town bridge; that the northern precincts of
the said town shall contain all those lots or parcels of ground
which are embraced by the line extending from the margin of
the said river, opposite the branch or gully, on the western
tide of Gideon Pearce's grounds, thence up the said gully to
the northern extremity thereof, and thence by a line extending
easterly with the northern extremity of said Pearce's grounds,
passing the lot of William Crockett, the meeting house, and
the county road, to the. north east branch of the river aforesaid,
and thence by and with the river to the bridge of Bombay-
Hook.

CHAPTER 74.
An act to appoint Thomas R. Hodges of the town of Upper-
Marlborough Prince-George's County, trustee for the sale of
a certain tract of land therein mentioned.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Thomas H. Hodges of the town of Upper
Marlborough be, and he is hereby authorised, and fully em-
lowered as trustee, to sell and dispose of at public sale, after
such notice and on such terms and conditions as the orphan's
court of Prince George's county may appoint and direct, the
tract of land called Alexandria, lying in the county aforesaid,
and containing three hundred and two acres and one sixteenth
part of an acre more or less, in which he has a life estate, and
to which his two children Mary Ann and Benjamin Hodges
minors and under the age of twenty one years, will be entit-
led after his death, and the same when said, and on payment
of the whole purchase money, and not before, to make over
and convey by good and sufficient deed or deeds, to the pur-
chaser or purchasers thereof, and the money arising therefrom
after defraying all legal and necessary expences attending the
same, to be vested and applied as the said orphan's court shall
appoint and direct.
9. AND BE IT ENACTED, That before the said trustee
hall make any sale, in virtue of this act, he shall file with the
register of the orphan's court aforesaid, a bond in such penalty
and with such securities as shall be approved of by the judges
thereof or any two of them, conditioned for the faithful perform-
ance of the trust reposed in him by this act.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the orphan's court
aforesaid be, and are hereby authorised and empowered, on ap-
plication of the said trustee, to direct and order the terms and
conditions of the sale of said land, and to decree the applica-
tion of the proceeds thereof as to them shall appear proper.
4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the bond which the said
trustee shall enter into for the due and faithful performance of
his trust as aforesaid, shall be liable and answerable for all and
every matter and thing directed and required to be performed
by said trustee in virtue of this act.
5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustee shall
