Qualification
to be valid.

the time of taking the sheriff's bonds as prescribed in the act
to which this is a supplement, to qualify the sheriff so bonding,
in the same manner as the judges of the county courts are au-
thorised to do, and transmit a certificate thereof to the clerk of
their county court to be by him recorded, which qualification
shall be valid in law, any law to the contrary notwithstand-
ing.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the qualification of any
sheriff already taken before a justice of the orphan's court shall
be valid and effectual in law.

CHAPTER 63.
An act annulling the marriage of Levi Baxley and Margaret
his wife, of the City of Baltimore.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the marriage of Levi Baxley and his wife,
heretofore solemnized, be and the same is hereby declared to
be absolutely and to all intents and purposes null and void, and
the said Levi Baxley and Margaret his wife are hereby de-
clared to be divorced a vinculo matrimonii; Provided always,
that nothing in this act contained shall be construed to illegiti-
mate the children of the said Levi Baxley and Margaret his
wife, born prior to the passage of this act.
CHAPTER 64.
An act annulling the marriage of Thomas W. Hooper and
Frances A. Hooper.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the marriage of Thomas W. Hooper and
Frances A. Hooper, heretofore solemnized, be and the same is
hereby declared to be absolutely to all intents and purposes
null and void; and the said Thomas W. Hooper and Frances
A. Hooper are declared to be divorced a vinculo matrimonii.

CHAPTER 65.
An act to lay out and make public a road in Dorchester
County.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Joseph Byns, James Pattison, Capt. John
Spedden, Roger Woolford, and James Trippe are hereby ap-
pointed commissioners, and they or any three of them are
hereby authorised to survey, lay out and open a road in Dor-
chester county, not exceeding twenty feet in width, commenc-
ing from some point to be selected by the said commissioners,
on the main road to Hill's point in the county aforesaid, thence
running down Eccleston's neck in a direction the most conve-
nient for the citizens, and least injurious to the holders of prop-
erty, as far as the public convenience in the judgment of the
said commissioners may require; and the said commissioners or
a majority of them shall report their proceedings to the levy
court of the county aforesaid, which said report shall by the
direction of the levy court aforesaid, be recorded among the
land records of the said county; and the said road when so
surveyed, laid out and opened shall be deemed and taken to be
a public road forever thereafter, and kept in repair as other pub-
lic roads are in said county.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, that the said commission.
