No. 35.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
to pay to Adam Adams, during his life, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a
private, annually in quarterly payments.

No. 36.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to John D. Jaquet, a
sergeant in the revolutionary war, annually in quarterly payments, the half pay of
a sergeant for life, as a further remuneration for those services by which his coun-
try has been so essentially benefitted.

No. 37.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
to pay to Joseph Clewley, of Montgomery county, a soldier in the revolutionary
war, or to his order, annually in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the
half pay of a private, for those services by which his country has been so essen-
tially benefitted.

No. 38.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Levi Stephens, of
Somerset county, or to his order, annually during life, in quarterly payments, a
sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further remuneration for
those services rendered his country during the revolutionary war.

No. 39.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Charles M'Gee, or
his order during life the half pay of a private, annually in quarterly payments, as
an additional compensation for his services.
No. 40.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
to pay to Michael Kershner, of Alleghany county, a private in the revolutionary
war, or his order annually in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the
half pay of a private, as a further remuneration to him for those services by which
his country has been so essentially benefitted.
No. 41.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
to pay to Nehemiah Crawford, a sergeant in the revolutionary war, a sun of mo-
ney annually in quarterly payments, during his life, equal to the half pay of a ser-
geant.
No. 49.
Resolved, That all proceedings against Alexius Boone and his securities, on a
judgment obtained against them, on Recount of a balance due to the state, by the
said Alexius Boone, as sheriff of Prince George's county be, and are hereby suspen-
ded until the first day of January eighteen hundred and seventeen; and also that
the said Alexius Boone and his securities, be, and they are hereby released from
the payment of the nine per cent, per annum of the fifteen per cent, interest char-
geable on the principal of the balance due the state, on condition only, that the
said Alexius Boone and his securities shall punctually pay to the treasurer of the
Western Shore on or before the first day of January eighteen hundred and seven-
teen the principal of the balance due the state, with interest on the same, at the
rate of six per cent. per annum, together with all costs on said judgment, provided
that the judgment aforesaid, shall continue and be in full force, notwithstanding the
suspension directed by this resolution, and that if the said Alexius Boone and his
securities shall fail in the said payment, they shall thereby forfeit the benefit of this
resolution and shall be liable to be proceeded against immediately for the whole of
the said debt and costs, and the fifteen per cents interest now payable thereon.
No. 43.
Resolved, That John Eager Howard, Robert Goodloe Harper, Jonathan More-
th, Isaac Philips, George Winchester, Levi Hollingsworth, Thomas Ellicott,
James Ellicott, and James Cheston, be, and they are hereby appointed commis-
sioners to examine into the practicability and expediency of opening and extend-
ing Pratt and Lombard streets in the city of Baltimore, or either of them, and
to report to the Legislature at the next session the result of their enquiries, with
a plan or plans for carrying this object into effect and the facts and circumstan-
ces on which such plan or plans may be founded.
No. 44.
Resolved, That his excellency the governor of Maryland, be requested to trans-
mit to the executive of Virginia a copy of the act entitled, an act for erecting a
bridge over the river Potomac, with a request that the same be laid before the
legislature of said state.
No. 45.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Andrew Lord, a sol-
