authorising the sale of two unimproved lots of ground, lying
and being in the city or precincts of Baltimore, and late the
property of the said Peter Rea, for the purpose of discharging
an annuity or rent charge, granted by the said Peter Rea to his
sister Ann Catharine Rea; Therefore,
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James Rea of Dorchester county be, and he is
hereby appointed a trustee, and authorised and empowered to sell
two unimproved lots of ground lying and being in the city on
precincts of Baltimore, lite the property of the said Peter Rea
deceased, upon such terms as the said James Rea may think
proper; Provided, the said James Rea, before he proceeds to
make the sale, shall enter into a bond with good security to the
State of Maryland, to be approved by the orphan's court of
Dorchester county, in such sum as the said court may think
necessary for the faithful performance of the trust committed
to him by this act, which bond shall be recorded in the office of
the register of wills of said county, and suit or suits may be
instituted and prosecuted on said bond, in the same manner as
of bonds of a similar nature in said office.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee appointed
as aforesaid shall apply the money arising from the sale of the
said unimproved lots of ground to the discharge of the said an-
nuity or rent charge, and the balance if any to be divided
among the legal representatives of the said Peter Rea.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That any conveyance or
deed made by the said trustee and recorded among the land re-
cords of Baltimore county, shall be and is hereby declared to
be valid and effectual to convey all the right, title and interest
which the said Peter Rea at the time of his death, had, in and
to the lots of ground aforesaid, to the purchaser or purchasers of
the came.

An act authorising Adam Whann and William Ricketts to
complete the collections of Jacob R. Hewitt of Cecil Court

ty.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the Central Assembly of
Maryland, That Adam Whann and William Ricketts, or
either of them be, and they or either of them are hereby autho-
rised and empowered, to collect until the first day of December
eighteen hundred and sixteen, all ballances due Jacob R. Hew-
itt as collector of the taxes and public dues in the first collection
district in Cecil county, in the same manner as the said Jacob
R. Hewit could or might have done within the time limited by
law, any law to the contrary notwithstanding
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the duty of
the said Adam Whann and William Ricketts, or either of them,
before they or either of them proceed to execute or distrain
the property of any person or persons for public dues in virtue
of this act, to deliver to such person or persons chargeable with
the dame, at least thirty days previous to levying such execu-
tion or distress, an account written in words at full length, of
the public dues demanded of him her or them, with an affidavit
annexed if required, that the said Jacob R. Hewitt, Adam
Whann, or William Ricketts, or either of them, have not re-
ceived any part thereof, nor any thing a security or satisfaction
