CHAPTER 117.
An act for the benefit of the Heirs of Eli Gibbons late of Som-
erset County deceased.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the orphan's court of Somerset county be,
and they are hereby authorised and empowered, if they think it
will be advantageous to the heirs of Eli Gibbons, late of Som-
erset county deceased, to appoint a trustee to sell and dispose
of all the real estate of the said Eli Gibbons in Somerset coun-
ty, at such time and upon such terms as shall be prescribed by
the said orphan's court, and that upon the payment of the
whole of the purchase money, the said trustee shall convey the
said real estate to the purchaser or purchasers, which convey-
ance being duly made shall be sufficient to convey all the right,
title, claim and interest of, in and to the said real estate, which
the said Eli Gibbons had at the time of his death, and which
descended to his heir .
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee to be ap-
pointed by the sail orphan's court, before he proceeds to exer-
cise any of the powers to be vested in him by virtue of said ap-
pointment, shall give, bond to the State of Maryland, in such
penally and with such security us the orphan's court of said
county shall direct, for the faithful performance of ail and sin-

gular the powers by this act directed to be vested in him; which
bond shall be recorded by the register of wills for the said
county, and the same or an office copy thereof may be put in
suit by any person or persons interested in the performance of
the condition of the same; Provided always, AND BE IT
ENACTED, That no sale made by the trustee aforesaid, by
virtue of this act, shall be good and valid until the same be ap-
proved of by the orphans court aforesaid; and in case such sale
shall be rejected by the said outfit, then the said trustee shall
proceed to sell again, and so from time to time until such sale
shall be approved of by the said orphan's court.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said orphan's court
be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered, to invest
the proceeds of said sale in some safe and productive fund for
the benefit of the heirs of the said Eli Gibbons respectively.
4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustee shall be

entitled to such sum or sums of money for his expences and
trouble that he may necessarily be put to, in performance of the
duties required by him to be done under this act, as the orphan's
court of Somerset county shall think proper to allow him.

An act to incorporate the Somerset Manufacturing Company.
WHEREAS, Several citizens of Somerset county have as-
sociated and formed themselves into a company, and raised a
stock of one hundred thousand dollars, for the purpose of
erecting a manufacturing establishment for the carding, spin,
ning and weaving of domestic materials, the tanning and pre-
paring of leather, the fabrication of ropes, the expression of
oils, and such other operations as may be deemed practicable
and expedient; Therefore,
