4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commis-
sioners as aforesaid, shall be allowed two dollars for every
day they shall be employed in discharge of their duty under
this act, to be paid in the same manner us the amount of
the valuation herein before directed to be made.

An act further supplementary to an act passed at Novem-
ber Session eighteen hundred and eleven, entitled, "An
act authorising Elizabeth Luckett, of Frederick coun-
ty to remove certain negroes into the state of Mary-
land."

SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said Elizabeth Luckett is hereby
authorised and empowering at any time within twelve
months after the passage of this act, to remove and bring
into this state the negro slaves mentioned and described in
the act to which this is further supplementary, or any of
them and their issue, according to the terms and provisi-

ons of the said original act: Provided, that nothing here-
in contained shall be construed to interfere with, or affect
the rights of any person or persons acquired before the
passage of this act.

An act to settle and ascertain the salary of the members
of the council for the ensuing year.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That each member of the council shall
be entitled to receive for the ensuing year, the sum of five
hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty-three and one
third cents, current money for his salary.

negro.
|
An act authorising Isaac S. Swearingen of Washing-
ton county to remove a certain negro boy from the state
of Virginia into this state.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED By the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said Isaac S. Swearingen be,
and be is hereby authorised and empowered at any time
within twelve months after the passage of this act, to re-
move and bring into this state, a certain negro boy ram.
