1814.

Notice of sale.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said orphans'
court shall direct notice of the time and place appointed
for the sale of the lands to be given by advertisement, set
up in the most public places in said county, and some
convenient news-paper, at least six weeks before the
sale, and the said court shall also direct the said lands to
be sold on a credit of not less than twelve months.

5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That, the money ari-
sing from the sale of the said lands in the hands of the
trustee to he appointed by virtue of this ace, after deduc-
ting the expences of the sale of said lands, to be ascer-
tained by the orphans' court of Montgomery county,
shall be paid over to the administrator or administratrix
and applied under the direction of the said court towards
the payment of the debts of the said William Holland ;
and if any balance should remain after the payment
thereof, it shall be paid over under the direction of the
paid court to the guardian of the children of the said
William Holland.

Purchase con-
firmed.

An additional supplement to the act entitled, an act for
the relief of the poor of Queen Ann's county.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the general assembly of
Maryland, That the purchase made by the trustees of the
poor of Queen Ann's county, from William K. Wright, of
all that part of a tract of land called Paschals Chance, con-
taining fifteen acres and twenty seven perches, adjoining
the lands of the Alms House in said county, and receiving
an assignment from William E. Wright, of a bond for the
conveyance of the same, given by Henry W. Hacket, to
him, be, and the same is hereby confirmed.

Deed to be re-
ceived in trust.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustees,
be and they are hereby authorised to receive a deed of
conveyance for the said land (agreeably to the condi-
tions of said bond from Henry W. Hacket to William
E. Wright, bearing date the first day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and ten, and assigned by the
said William E. Wright, to the trustees aforesaid) in
fee simple, and in trust for the benefit of said institu-
tion.

Preamble.

AND WHEREAS the legislature of this state, hath
put at the disposal of the trustees aforesaid, the sum of six
hundred dollars, to be distributed to out pensioners in
said county; Therefore,

3. BE IT ENACTED, That the trustees aforesaid,
be and they are hereby authorised and empowered in
their discretion, to keep any number of out pensioners,
and to allow to each of such pensioners, an annual pensi-
on not exceeding thirty dollars, to be paid out of said six
hundred dollars, and at such times as they may di-
rect.
