3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of said commissioners, or such majority of them as
may act, before they act as such, to lodge such bond in
the clerk's office of Charles county, there to be recorded,
and upon such bond.or any office copy thereof suit or suits
may be instituted against the obligors therein named,
or any of them, or their legal representatives for any
breach or non-compliance with the condition of the
same.

CHAPTER 118.

An act authorising the Court of Oyer and Terminer and
gaol delivery in Baltimore county, to make the assess-
ments therein mentioned.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the justices of the court of oyer and
terminer, and gaol delivery for Baltimore county, be and
they are hereby authorised and empowered to provide in
the county charges to be assessed by them, such com-
pensation as has been usually made, or which they shall
consider just and reasonable, to the present or any future
sheriff, for keeping a night watch at the gaol of said
county, and for the trouble and expence of securing un-
ruly prisoners by ironing them.

CHAPTER 119.
An act to incorporate the Western Run Manufacturing
Company of Maryland.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That David Williamson, Luke Tiernan,
Kennedy Owen, James H. M'Culloch and Nicholas
Brice, and all such persons as may become stockholders
in the company hereby about to be incorporated, be and
are hereby created, and declared one body politic, by the
name and style of the Western Run Manufacturing
Company of Maryland, and by the same name and style
shall nave succession, and be able to sue and be sued,
implead and be impleaded, in any court of law or equity,
and to make have and use, one common seal, and the
same to change and alter, when and so often as they shall
think fit, and to ordain and establish such by-laws, ordi-
nances and regulations, as shall appear necessary for the
conducting the concerns of said company, not being con-
trary to the act or the constitution and laws of the State
of Maryland, or of the United States.

turing and vending of cotton and linen goods, and the
carrying on of any other branches of manufacture at
