2. AND BE IT ENACTED. That it shall be the
duty of the said commissioners, before they act as such,
to lodge the bond entered into as aforesaid, in the office
of the clerk of Frederick County Court, there to be re-
corded; and upon such bond, or any office copy thereof,
suit or suits maybe instituted against the obligors therein,
or any of them, or their legal representatives, for any
breach or non-compliance with the condition of the same.

An Act for the Relief Sarah Wooters, of Caroline
County.

A sum may be
levied for her
maintenance.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the justices of the Levy Court of
Caroline county, shall, and they are hereby empowered
at their Levy Court annually, so long as they shall see
cause, to assess and levy on the assessable property of
said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dol-
lars, for the support and maintenance of the said Sarah
Wooters; and that the same be collected annually, by
the collector of Caroline county, and by him paid to the
said Sarah Wooters or her order.

CHAPTER 3.

16, 1813.

An Act for the Relief of James Rea, of Harford
County.
WHEREAS it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, by the petition of James Rea, of Harford county,
that he has been for a long time in close confinement in
the common prison of said county, on a judgment of the

court of said county, for him to give security for the sup-
port of an illegitimate child, agreeably to the act of as-
sembly, and to pay certain fees incurred in his prosecu-
tion and conviction, and that he is totally unable to com-
ply with the condition contained in the judgment aforesaid
for his release, and praying to be discharged from impri-
sonment; Therefore,

be discharged
from the cus-
tody of the
sheriff.
Proviso.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the sheriff of Harford county
be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to discharge

the said James Rea, from his custody, on the commit-
ment aforesaid, for the causes aforesaid; Provided, That
nothing herein contained, shall in any wise be construed
to protect any property which the said James Rea may at
this time have, or hereafter acquire, from execution, in
satisfaction of any judgment or order for the support of
the said illegitimate child, and the payment of the fees
aforesaid, under the provisions of an act of assembly, en-
titled "An act directing the proceedings against per-
sons guilty of fornication," and the several supplements
thereto.
