EXPLANATION TO THE INDEX.

Under the heads of POOR, and Insolvent Debtors will be found the names of the respective
persons who have special acts passed in their favor, and under that of ROAD all the acts
which have been passed on that subject will be found. All other acts of a private or local
nature will be found by referring to the respective letter, in their alphabetical older cor-
responding with the initials of their names. The public acts are placed under heads most
relevant to their subjects, and will be found in the same manner. THE PRINTER.
