the road of the width of thirty feet, and it shall thereaf-
ter forever he taken and considered as a public road.
4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That an act entitled.
an act to lay out and open the old road from Richard
Owing's Mill to Elk Ridge Church in Queen Caroline
Parish in Anne-Arundel county, and the supplement
thereto, passed at November session 1811, be and they
are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 157.
An act to after and change the place of holding the elec-
tions in the first election district of Kent county,
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the judges of the first election
district of Kent county be, and are hereby authoris-
ed and directed to hold in future the elections in said dis-
trict at such place as may appear to them most conveni-
ent.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That where the judges
aforesaid shall have made choice of a fit and proper
place for holding said election, agreeably to the direc-
tions of this act; and shall have returned a certificate
thereof under their hands and seals, to the clerk of the
county court, to be recorded, the same shall be the place
of holding the elections for the first district of Kent coun-
ty, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That a return of said
certificate shall be made on or before the first day of
June next, and the clerk aforesaid shall record the same
among the records of Kent county.

CHAPTER 158.

Before the

next.

A. supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate
the stock-holders of the Hager's-Town Bank.
WHEREAS, the charter of the Hager's-Town Bank
provides, that one director for said bank shall be elected
in the city of Baltimore, and one in the county of Alle-
gany: Therefore,

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That after the passage of this act,
the stock holders of the said bank shall not be compelled
to elect any director residing out of the county of Wash-
