of the tickets in said lottery or lotteries, and to draw the
same; Provided, That the said William P. Farquhar,
Joseph S. Smith, George Price, William Knox, Thomas
Boyer, Moses Shaw, James Drummond, Benjamin Jones
and Jesse Cloud, or a majority of them, that undertake
to act under this law, shall, before the sale or disposal of
any ticket or tickets in said lottery, give their bond to
the state of Maryland, in the penalty of twelve thousand
dollars, conditioned that they will well and truly apply
so much money arising therefrom, within twelve months
after the drawing of the said lottery shall be completed,
as will satisfy the fortunate adventurers for prizes drawn
by them, and after deducting the necessary expences in-
curred in said lottery, shall, within eighteen months af-
ter the drawing of said lottery or lotteries, shall be com-
pleted, apply the money raised by such lottery for the
purpose of finishing the house in which is held the Ma-
sonic Lodge, known by the name of "Door to Virtue
Lodge." in Frederick county, and for the support of a
free school in said house.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the said commissioners, before they act as such,
to lodge the bond entered into as aforesaid in the office
of the clerk of Frederick county court, there to be re-
corded, and upon such bond, or any office copy thereof,
suit or suits may be instituted against the obligors there-
in, or any of them, or their legal representatives, for
any breach or non-compliance with the conditions of the
same.

An act for the benefit of Sarah B. Parker, of Calvert
County.
WHEREAS, Sarah B. Parker, by her petition has
set forth to this general assembly, that some time in the
year one thousand seven hundred and ninety, she inter-
married with a certain Levin Parker, at which time she
was possessed of a considerable real and personal pro-
perty, that the said Parker sold at different times the
whole of her personal estate and left her, since which
time she has never heard from him, that since his depar-
ture his life estate in the real estate has been sold by the
sheriff, which has deprived her of every means of sup-
port, and praying the legislature to pass a law authorising
her to sell her reversionary interest in said land, and the
prayer of the petitioner being reasonable; Therefore,

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Sarah B. Parker, wife of the
said Levin Parker, shall be, and she is hereby authoriz-
ed to sell and convey her reversionary interest in all the
property which belonged to her at the time of her marriage
and all which has since descended to her.
