chapter 153.
A supplement to the act entitled, An act to repeal an act passed at Novem-
ber session eighteen hundred and twelve, relating to the suppression of a
public road in Prince Georges county.
Whereas, it appears to this general assembly, by the petition of
sundry inhabitants of Prince Georges county, that the act of the
last session, entitled, an act to repeal an act passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and twelve, has failed to accomplish the
object for which it was designed; Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Colonel Francis M. Hall, William Bowie and John M'Gill be,
and they are hereby appointed additional commissioners to act in
conjunction with those appointed under the act of last session,
chapter fifty five, to ascertain and value what damage will accrue
to the parties through whose land the road runs, by the reopening
of the same.

CHAPTER 154.
An act for the relief of Margaret Parke, of Baltimore County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Davis B. Parke, shall, from the passage of this act, be, and he is
hereby altogether deprived of all and every interest, authority,
power and control, in, over and to the person of Margaret Parke,
his wife as fully as if she had never been married.
2. And be it enacted, That the said Margaret Parke shall be, and
she is hereby declared to be vested with the title to all and every
kind of property, real, personal and mixed, now in her pos-
session, in as full and ample a manner, as if she were and always
had been a feme sole, and she is hereby declared capable to have,
hold, take and receive, sue for and recover by compromise, suit or
suits, in law or equity, property of any kind whatever, real, per-
sonal or mixed, in as full and ample a manner as if she were a
feme sole, and to use and enjoy or dispose of the same, at her will
and pleasure, and may in her own name sue and be sued, as if she
were a feme sole.
3. And be it enacted, That the said Davis B. Parke, shall not be
liable for any debts to be hereafter contracted by the said Margaret
Parke

CHAPTER 155.

An act to authorise the building of a Bridge over the River Patapsco, at
Sweetser's Ferry.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Seth Sweetser, of Anne Arundel county, his heirs, assigns or other
legal representatives be, and they are hereby authorised and em-
powered to erect and build at his or their proper cost and expense,
a bridge over the river Patapsco, at the place where Sweetser's Ferry
is now kept, which said bridge shall be made of good and substantial
materials with a railing on each side thereof and a draw in said
bridge, allowing the free navigation of the river aforesaid.
