as are held by the said Samuel Colston in virtue of his intermarriage
with his deceased wife Rebecca Colston, and that he be authorised to
cut and sell such decayed or decaying wood or timber belonging to
the said land or parcels of land under the authority of the Orphans'
court of Talbot county, agreeably to the provisions of the act to which
this is a supplement.

2. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the sale of such wood or
timber be applied to the support and education of such of the children
of the said Samuel Colston and his deceased wife Rebecca, as may re-
side with him.

8. And be it enacted, That all the provisions of the act to which
this is a supplement, not inconsistent with those of this act, be, and
the same are hereby declared to be in full force and effect.

CHAPTER 128.
An act to confirm an act entitled, "an act to repeal an act entitled, "an act to al-
ter, change and repeal such parts of the Constitution and form of Government
of this State, as refute to the division of St. Mary's county into four election
districts," passed at December session, 1822.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That an act
entitled, "an act to repeal an act entitled, "an act to alter, change and
repeal such parts of the Constitution and form of Government of this
state as relate to the division of St. Mary's county into four election
districts, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
two, be, and the same is hereby confirmed.

CHAPTER 129.
An act for the relief of Thomas Philips.
Where as, it is represented to this general assembly by the peti-
tion of Thomas Philips, of New Castle County, in the State of Dela-
ware, that he is actually confined in the jail of Cecil county for a debt
due the bank of Elkton; that his property both real and personal in
Delaware during his confinement, has been sold at a price much be-
low its real value to satisfy judgments against him, and that for the
want of the residence of two years, as required by law, he is unable
to obtain the benefit of the insolvent laws of this state; Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges of Cecil county court, be, and they are hereby authorised and
required to extend to Thomas Philips, of New Castle County, in the
State of Delaware, upon his application, the benefit of the act of
assembly passed at November session eighteen hundred and five, en-
titled an act fur the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, and the seve-
ral supplements thereto, without requiring of the said Thomas
Philips proof of residence within the state of Maryland, for two
years previous to his application, provided always that the said Tho-
mas Philips shall comply with all the other requisitions of the said
laws, and shall also satisfy the said judges that he did not come into
this state with the intention of taking the benefit of said laws.

CHAPTER 130.
An act to provide for the further extension of Pratt Street, in the city of Bal-
timore.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Solomon Betts, David Williamson, Stewart Brown, Robert C. Long,
Henry Brice, James Mosher and James Barroll, be, and they are
hereby appointed commissioners for laying out and surveying Pratt
street, from South Frederick street, to market space, in such manner
