CHAPTER 111.
An act to alter the time of the meeting of the General Assembly of this state,
and for other purposes.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the time of the meeting of the General Assembly of this state, shall
be on the lust Monday of December, in each year, instead of the first
Monday of said month as is now prescribed by the constitution and
form of government.

2. And be it enacted, That the Governor of this state shall be cho-
sen on the first Monday of January, in each and even year, in the
same manner as is now prescribed by the constitution and form of
government, and the council to the governor shall be elected on the
first Tuesday after the first Monday of January, in each and every
year, in the same manner as is now prescribed by the constitution
and form of government.

3 And be it enacted, That all annual appointments of civil officers
in this state shall be made in the third week of January, in every year,
in the same manner as the constitution and form of government now
directs.

4. And be it enacted, That all and every part of the constitution
and form of Government that is repugnant to, or inconsistent with
the provisions of this act, be, and the same are hereby repealed, abro-
gated and annulled upon the confirmation hereof.

Repeal.

5. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be confirmed by the
General Assembly after the next election of delegates, in the first ses-
sion after such new election, as the constitution and form of govern-
ment directs, that in such case this act and the alterations and amend-
ments therein contained shall be taken and considered, and shall con-
stitute and be valid as a part of the said constitution and form of go-
vernment to all intents and purposes, any thing in said constitution
and form of government to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 112.
An act to provide for taking the bond of Sheppard C. Leakin, sheriff of Balti-
more county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
chief judge of Baltimore County Court, or any one of the associates,
be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered to take the bond of
Sheppard C. Leakin, sheriff of Baltimore County, and approve of the
securities, on or before the first day of March next, in the same man-
ner and form as is prescribed by law, which said bond when so taken
as aforesaid, and recorded according to law, shall have the same
effect, validity and operation to every intent and purpose as if the
same had been taken within the time now prescribed by law.

CHAPTER 113.
A further additional supplement to the act, entitled. An act for the erec-
tion of a new Market House, in Hagers-Town, Washington County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the mo-
derator and commissioners of Hager's-Town, be, and they are here-
by authorised to levy on the taxable property of Hager's-Town, and
its additions, such sum or sums of money, as shall he sufficient to
complete the market house and town hall, in said town, and to pay all
the debts already incurred in the erection of the same, and shall col-
lect the same, in one or two equal annual instalments as by them
shall be considered most proper.
