debt due to the state of Maryland;—Provided, that the payment of
the whole of the principle, six per cent interest, and all the costs
thereon, shall be made within twelve months from the passage of this
act.

CHAPTER. 75.

An additional supplement to the act, entitled, a supplement to an act, entitled, an
act to provide for a new assessment, and to appoint collectors of the tax in and
for the city and county of Baltimore.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the commissioners of the tax for Baltimore county, be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to allow each assessor appointed by
them, a sum not exceeding two hundred dollars in addition to the sum
of five hundred dollars, as allowed by the act to which this is an addi-
tional supplement, for his services in making the assessment as re-
quired by the commissioners of the tax for Baltimore county.

2. And be it enacted, That the levy court of Baltimore county, be,
and they are hereby authorised and directed to provide for the pay-
ment of such sum or sums of money so allowed by the said board of.
commissioners.

CHAPTER 76.
An act to repeal an act passed December session, 1815, chapter 161, for the be-
nefit of the infant children of Jeremiah Crabb, late of Montgomery county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the act,
entitled, An act for the benefit of the infant children of Jeremiah
Crabb, late of Montgomery county, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and fifteen, chapter one hundred, and sixty-one, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.

Repeal.

CHAPTER 77.

A supplement to the act, entitled, An act to lay out and open two roads in Queen
Ann's County, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirteen,
chapter one hundred and three.
Sec.1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Maryland, That so much
of the third section of the act to which this is a supplement as exempts
Queen Ann's county from a tax for making and keeping up that part
of one of the said roads which leads through the lands of the owner,
possessor or occupier of the lower Red Lion Mill, in said county, and
which compels the owner, possessor, or occupier of the said land to
keep in repair the said road, be, and the same is hereby repealed, any

thing in the said law to the contrary notwithstanding.

2. And be it enacted, That the said road shall be repaired and kept
up as other county roads are repaired and kept up.

CHAPTER 78.
An act to authorise the Levy Court of Harford County, to open certain roads.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Harford county, if they in their judgment deem it
expedient, be, and they are hereby authorised to cause to be laid out
and opened any road or roads which hereafter ma; be applied for un-
der a supplement to an act, entitled, an act relating to public roads in
the several counties therein mentioned, passed at December session,
1822, chapter 18, notwithstanding such road or roads may pass on
the route or bed laid out by the Baltimore and Harford Turnpike
Company.
