Proviso.

titled, "An act for the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, " and the
supplementary acts thereto, in the same manner and with as full force
and effect as if he was a citizen of this state: Provided, the said
Thomas I. Perry shall prove to the said judges that he has returned
to the state with a bona fide intention of settling and remaining as a
citizen therein, and not with the view of obtaining the benefit of said
laws, and also that the said Thomas I. Perry shall in all respects
comply with all the other provisions of said act, and the several sup-
plements thereto.

Preamble.

CHAPTER. 93.

An act relinquishing the right of the State of Maryland to certain
lands therein referred to, unto the heirs of Richard Stringer, de-
ceased.
WHEREAS, it has been represented to this general assembly by the
petition of John Stringer of Anne-Arundel county, that his father
Richard Stringer, by deed of indenture bearing date on the four-
teenth day of September, seventeen bundled and ninety-two, con-
veyed in trust to a certain Archibald Moncrief of Baltimore county,
certain lands lying in Anne-Arundel county, which said trust was
not completed during the life time of the said Richard Stringer, but
the same hath been completed by John Stringer one of the heirs of
the said Richard Stringer, since the decease of the said Richard:
AND WHEREAS, it also appears to this legislature, that the. said
Archibald Moncrief, departed this life without reconveying the lands
mentioned in the deed aforesaid, or any part thereof, and without
leaving any heirs, citizens of the United States capable of inheriting
the same, whereby the legal title to the said lands, or such part there-
of as remained unsold at the death of the said Archibald Moncrief,
become vested in the state of Maryland: And it appearing reasona-
ble and just that the right of the state to the lands mentioned in the
deed of trust aforesaid, or such parts thereof as remained unsold at
the death of the said Archibald Moncrief should be relinquished
unto the heirs of the said Richard Stringer, deceased; therefore,

Right relin-
quished.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all
the right, title claim and interest of the state of Maryland in and to
any and all lands which said state heretofore acquired any right to
by virtue and in pursuance of a deed of trust executed by Richard
Stringer of Anne-Arundel county, on the seventeenth day of Sep-
tember, seventeen hundred and ninety-two, to Archibald Moncrief
of Baltimore county, be and the same are hereby relinquished, and
the title of the state aforesaid, fully invested in the heirs of the said
Richard Stringer, deceased, in as full and an ample a manner, as if
the said Richard Stringer, deceased, never bad have executed the
deed of trust aforesaid, any law to the contrary notwithstanding:

Proviso.

Provided, that nothing herein contained shall in any way effect the
title or claim. of any person or persons in and to the lands and pre-
mises aforesaid, acquired before the passage of this act.

A supplement to an act to incorporate a Company to make a wharf at
the town of Cambridge in Dorchester County.
WHEREAS, there is no provision made in the act to which this is a
supplement for the number of votes which the stockholders in the
High-street Wharf Company shall have; therefore,
