vernor, with the advice and consent of the council, is authorised
and required to appoint and commission one out of the two, or two
out of the four, to be the inspector or inspectors of the said ware-
house, in the manner directed by the act entitled, An act to regu-
late the inspection of tobacco, passed at November session, eighteen
hundred and one.

Regulations—
bond

4. And be it enacted, That the said ware-house when erect-
ed, shall be in all respects under the same regulations as other pub-
lic ware-houses for inspection of tobacco in this state are by law;
and the inspector or inspectors of the said ware-house, when ap-
pointed, shall qualify and give bond, and be subject in all respects
to the regulations established by the said act entitled, An act to re-
gulate the inspection of tobacco, as if the said ware-house had been
established by the said act, except where it is otherwise provided
by this act.

To account.
|
5. And be it enacted, That every inspector appointed and ac-
ting as such at the said ware-house, shall account quarterly or of-
tener if required, with the proprietor or proprietors of said ware-
house, for all monies received by such inspector for the inspection
of tobacco, and shall pay the same quarterly to such proprietor or
proprietors; and if required shall also give bond, with security to-
such proprietor or proprietors, to account and pay as by this act is
required.

Preamble.

CHAPTER 142.
A supplement to the act entitled, An art for the distribution of a cer-
tain fund for the purpose of establishing free schools in the several
counties therein named.
Whereas, By an act entitled, An act to incorporate a company
to make a turnpike road leading to Cumberland, and for the exten-
sion of the charters of the several banks in the city of Baltimore,
and for other purposes and its supplements, a fund has been pledged
for the establishment of free schools throughout the state; And
whereas, The said act and its several supplements have directed
that the said fund shall be equally divided among the several coun-
ties of this state.

Treasurer to
pay Orphan's
court.
|
Sec. 1. Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and he is hereby au-
thorised and directed to pay to the order of the orphans' court of
Kent county, or their authorised agent, what ever may be due said
county, as its proportion of the school fund, as mentioned in the
original act to which this is a supplement.

Duties.
|
2. And be it enacted, That the duties of the orphans' court
under this act, shall be the same as were those of the commissioners
appointed for said county, in the said original act.
|
Repeal.
|
3. And be it enacted, That any thing in the said original act
or the supplements thereto, which is repugnant to or inconsistent
with the provisions of this act shall be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
