Preamble.
|
« CHAPTER 6.
A further supplement to the act entitled, An act for the distribution
of a certain fund for the purpose of establishing Free Schools in
the several counties therein named.
Whereas, An act passed at December session eighteen hundred
and twenty, entitled, An act for the distribution of a certain fund
for the purpose of establishing free schools in the several counties
therein named, is found insufficient to answer the purpose for which
it was intended, by reason of its not authorising the commissioners
of the school fund for Baltimore county to draw from the former
commissioners all the money to which said county is entitled;
Therefore,

Commission-
ers may receive
balance due.
|
Be it enacted, By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
' the commissioners of the school fund for Baltimore county, or a ma-
jority of them, be, and they are hereby authorised and required to
call for and receive from the commissioners of the school fund
for Baltimore city, all the balance of money now in their hands,
which may appear to be due to Baltimore county for the education
of poor Children.

CHAPTER 7.
, An act to alter and change the place of holding the elections in the
first election district in Harford county.
i Be it enacted, By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the judges of the first election district in Harford county, be, and
they are hereby authorised and directed, to hold in future, the elec-
tions in said district, at, and in the house of Crispin Cunningham,
or any other they may deem proper in the village of Abbingdon, si-
tuated in the said district.

CHAPTER 8.
1 An act for the relief of John Delozier, Senior, of Charles County.
, Be it enacted, By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Charles county, be, and they are hereby authorised
and required, to levy on the assessable property of said county, the
sum of forty dollars, annually, for the support and maintenance of
John Delozier, Senior, of said county.

CHAPTER 9.
, An act for the relief of James Williams, (the younger,) of Caroline
county.
Be it enacted, By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Caroline county, be, and they are
hereby authorised and directed, to assess and levy annually, so
long as they shall see fit, on the assessable property of said county,
a sum of money not exceeding twenty-five dollars, for the support
and maintenance of James Williams, (the younger,) who is deaf and
dumb, and that the same be collected annually, by the collector of
said county, and by him paid to James Williams, (the elder,) the
father of the said James Williams, (the younger,) or his order.
