CHAP. CXVIII.

An Act for the revaluation of Real and Personal Property in Harford County.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
commissioners of the tax for Harford county, be and they are
hereby authorised and directed, to meet at Belle-Air in said coun-
ty immediately after the passage of this act, or as soon thereafter
as may be practicable, and proceed, agreeably to the provisions
of an act passed at November session eighteen hundred anil
twelve, entitled, An act for the valuation of real and personal
property in the several counties of this state, to revalue and re-
assess the real and personal property within said county.

2. And be it enacted, That John Clendinen, Thomas A. Hays,
William Whiteford, George Bradford, and Paca Smith, be. and
they are hereby appointed commissioners of the tax for said
county, and the commissioners are hereby authorised and empow-
ered to carry into full effect and operation all the provisions of
this, and the act of eighteen hundred and twelve, entitled, An
act for the valuation of real and personal property in the several
counties of this state.

CHAP. CXIX.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act to enlarge further the Powers of the
Trustees of the poor of Harford County, and for other purposes.
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it
shall and may be lawful for the trustees of the poor for Harford
county, and they are hereby authorised, in their discretion, to
keep any number of out-pensioners, not exceeding five at any one
time, in addition to the number already authorised by law, upon
the same terms, and under the same circumstances, as are prescri-
bed by an act, entitled, An act to enlarge, further the powers of
the trustees of the poor in the several counties therein mentioned,
passed at November session eighteen hundred and four.

2. And be it enacted, That the trustees aforesaid shall at some con-
venient time, previous to the laying the levy in each year, make out a
list of persons applying for support out of the poor-house, whose
situation render a support therein unsuitable, and lay the same be-
fore the levy court for their information, together with any cer-
tificate or recommendation of any applicant in the possession of
said trustees, and if the said court shall be of opinion that the
circumstances of any applicant render a situation in the poor-house
of said county particularly unsuitable, they shall levy on the as-
sessable properly of said county, such sum as they may think ne-
cessary for the relief of each applicant, not exceeding thirty dol-
lars, to be collected as other county levies, and applied as direc-
ted in such cases in the act to which this is a supplement.

CHAP. CXX.

AD Act to provide for the payment of Costs in the case of Forfeited Recogni-
zances.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, it shall he the duty of the
sheriff of each and every county in this state, and each and eve-
ry such sheriff is hereby authorised and empowered, to deduct
from each recognizance which may be forfeited, and by him col-
