CHAP. 59.

from all claim or claims which have arisen, or may arise, in con-
sequence of the marriage heretofore had between the said Joseph
Price and Sarah his wife.

CHAP. LX.
A Supplement to the act, entitled, An Act authorising a Lottery to raise a mm
of Money for completing an Episcopal Church in Baltimore County.

WHEREAS several of the persons who were originally appoint-
ed managers tor the above lottery are dead, others removed, and
some refuse to act; Therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland', That
John T. Worthington, Benjamin Johns, John G. Walker, James
Latimer, and Stephen H. Moore, or a majority of them, he and
they are hereby appointed managers of said lottery in place of
the persons named in the original act, and are invested with all
the powers, and subject to all obligations, as the managers in the
original act aforesaid, as granted, created and imposed, by said
original act.

CHAP. LXI.

An Act to provide for the Repairs of the Court House in Prince-George's
County.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Prince-George's county he and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, to assess and levy on the
assessable property of said county, such sum of money as they
may think necessary, for the repairs of the court-house in Upper
Marlborough, in said county.

tract, &c.

2. And be it enacted. That the said justices bo and they are
hereby authorised and required, to appoint commissioners to con-
tract for and to superintend such repairs as the said justices may
deem necessary, and the money necessary for such repairs shall
be collected in the same manner as the county assessment, and
shall he paid by the sheriff or collector of said county to the or-
der of the said justices, or a majority of them.

CHAP. LXII.

An Act Relating to the School Fund for the City of Baltimore.

1. Be it enacted by the. General Assembly of Maryland, That the
commissioners of the school fund appointed by an act. of assem-
bly passed at the session of eighteen hundred and seventeen,
chapter sixty, for Baltimore county, who reside within the city
of Baltimore, shall be the commissioners of the school fund for
the city of Baltimore, and they shall have power to supply all va-
cancies which may happen in their board.

To distribute their
proportion, &c.

2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners aforesaid, (not
less than four of whom shall be. a quorum,) be and they are here-
by authorised and empowered to distribute the proportion or
share of the school fund, apportioned for the said city, in such
manner as they, in their judgment and discretion shall deem best
calculated to effect the great and important objects of diffusing
knowledge and literature among all classes of the community;
and especially among those most destitute of the means to afford
the expense of education; and it shall be the duty of the said
