CHAP. 167.

tenant by the courtesy, and to join his said wife in any conveyance
thereof, or of any part thereof, in fee, or for any lesser estate, or
for any terms of years, all which conveyances so made by him
and his said wife, of or for any part of the said lands, shall, if
executed, acknowledged and recorded, as the laws of this state
require, be as good and available in law as if the said John
M'Tavish had been or were a citizen of this state or the United
States, at the time of his marriage with the said Emily, and of
making the said deeds, or any of them respectively; and to take,
receive and hold, by conveyance from any person or persons, an
estate in fee simple in all or any part of the said lands, and the
same, or any part thereof, to transfer, convey or transmit, by
deed, devise or descent, in the same manner, and as effectually
to all intents and purposes, as if he were at the time of such
conveyance, devise or descent respectively, a citizen of this state,
or the United States.

His children en-
abled to take and
hold property, &c.

2. And be it enacted. That the said Charles Carroll M'Tavish,
the son of the said John and Emily M'Tavish, and all and every
other child and children of the said John and Emily, hereafter to
be born, shall be and hereby are enabled and rendered capable in
law to take, hold, enjoy and transmit, by deed, descent or devise,
an estate in fee simple, or any lesser interest or estate, in all and
any and every part of the said lands, as fully, to all intents and
purposes, as if the said John M'Tavish now were, and at the
time of his marriage with the said Emily, and of the birth of
the said Charles Carroll M'Tavish, or other child as aforesaid,
had been or were a citizen of this state, or the United States.

Preamble.

CHAP. CLXVIII.

An Act to alter and change part of the Divisional Line between the Fourth and
fifth Election Districts in Anne-Arundel County.

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by sundry
voters of Anne-Arundel county, that a part of the road which at
present makes the divisional line between the fourth and fifth elec-
tion districts in said county, is little used as a public road, and is
frequently changed by I he owners of lands through which said
road passes, and praying that said divisional line may be changed
and made permanent; Therefore,

Division line.

I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
after the passage of this act the line dividing the fourth and fifth
election districts in Anne-Arundel county, shall begin at the
bridge across Patapsco Falls, near Ellicott's mills, and run with
and bind on the Cumberland turnpike road from said bridge to
the second turnpike gate on said road, now erected in Howard's
lane, and from said turnpike gate in Howard's lane, with the lane,

as heretofore established by law, to the line of Prince George's

county.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the relief of Joseph S. Colgar, of
Somerset County.

WHEREAS by the act to which this act is a supplement, legisla-

tive relief was designed to be extended to Joseph S. Colgan, but

by mistake the name of Joseph S. Colgar was inserted in said
