in such manner and of such material as will in
his opinion be most desirable and economical ;
and to make arrangements for placing the tubing
and fixtures for the introduction and use of gas-
lights therein; and also to purchase such furni-
ture as he may deem necessary for comfort and
convenience; and to draw upon the Treasurer,
upon the warrant of the Comptroller, (hereby di-
rected to issue the same) for the said sum of five
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be
required by the Governor for said purposes.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of Caleb S. Keech, admin-
istrator of Thomas P. Turner, deceased, former
Deputy Sheriff of Prince George's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Caleb S. Keech, adminis-
trator of Thomas P. Turner, deceased, former De-
puty Sheriff of Prince George's county, be and
he is hereby authorised and empowered to collect
by execution, and to receive all and every balance
or amount of officers' fees, chancery taxes, legal
costs, fines and forfeitures, and all other sums
which were due to and remained uncollected by
the said Thomas P. Turner, as Deputy Sheriff, of
Prince George's county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if any person
against whom there is a claim by said adminstra-
tor shall make affidavit before any Justice of the
Peace of Prince George's county, or of the county
in which said person may reside, that said claim
hath been paid at any previous time, it shall pre-
vent the said administrator from collecting the
same, in regular manner prescribed by law for the
collection of such fees and claims; but he shall
have power to collect the same as small debts are
