32 TITLES OF THE LAWS.

373. An act to change the name of the town of George-
town cross-roads to that of Galena, and to incorporate said
town.

374. An act to facilitate the collection of taxes in arrear in
Baltimore county.

375. An act to empower the Board of Commissioners of
Howard county to allow supervisors and laborers working on
the public roads in said county a greater compensation.

376. An act to refund to Thomas E. Martin, William S.
Weedon and William V. Stinchcomb, a certain sum of money
illegally forfeited and paid by them into the treasury.

377. An act appropriating a sum of money to pay William
A. Spencer, Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and
John Palmer, late Clerk of the Circuit Court of Queen Anne's
county, for fees due them; also to pay A. B. Hagner, for cer-
tain costs paid by him; also to pay Joseph J. Stewart a cer-
tain Hum due him by the State; also to pay John T. Wright
for services rendered; also to pay Lewis F. Goottee for ser-
vices rendered: also to pay Iglehart and Caldwell for articles
furnished the State.

378. An act appropriating a sum of money for the pay-
ment of the claims of John W. Davis, James Hopkins, James
H. League, J. Wesley White, John E. Stalker and Richard
Brashears.

379. An act allowing compensation to William C. Cun-
ningham, William D. Grim, John L. Herring, James L.
Dorsey, James H. Stone, Charles A. Talbott, Benjamin
Dyer and Charles H. Bowen, agents for the collection of
taxes in arrears in the city of Baltimore, due the State of
Maryland.

380. An act appropriating a sum of money to pay Eliza
Hering, executrix of William H. Hering, deceased, for a
commission under an appointment of the Governor of Mary-
land, paid by the said William H. Hering, in his lifetime to
the Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city.

381. An act supplementary to the act of December session,
eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter 253, entitled an act
to incorporate a literary institution in Washington county,
under the name and style of the College of St. James.
