TITLES OF THE LAWS. 31.

361. An act to compensate Robert S. Reader, for the trial
of certain cases in the Court of Appeals, as counsel on the
part of the State, by appointment of the Governor.

362. An act to authorise and require the removal of gates
from the public roads in the Third Election District of Caro-
line county.

363. An act to authorise the Clerks of the Circuit Courts
of the State to make certain entries and do certain acts in
the absence of the circuit judge.

364. An act to permit Minerva Barnes, a free woman of
color of Allegany county, Maryland, to remain in the State,
and to relieve her from all penalties incurred by her removal
into the State.

365. An act appropriating a sum of money for the pay-
ment of the claims of J. Wesley White, James H. League,
Richard Brashears and Thomas A. Mitchell.

366. An act to incorporate certain persons as trustees of
the United Brethren in Christ church, in Carroll county, to
be called the Mount Pleasant church.

367. An act appropriating a sum of money to pay the In-
dependent Greys, the Baltimore City Guards, the Wells and
McComas Riflemen, the Law Greys, and the Marion Reserve
Guards, military companies in the city of Baltimore, for ser-
vices rendered in suppressing a riot on the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad, in May, 1857, by order of the Governor.

308. An act granting the right to Josiah Owens to build
a wharf into the Nanticoke river at Sharpstown, Somerset
county.

369. An act entitled, an act confirmatory of certain ordi-
nances approved by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
and providing for the more speedy collection of arrearages of
taxes.

370. An act to regulate the attendance of Register of Wills
for Anne Arundel county.

371. An act to incorporate the trustees of Oak Grove
Schoolhouse in Washington county.

372. An act to incorporate the Towsontown Railroad Com-
pany.
