modation of which trade and interest, the said
wharf was originally designed; And whereas,
they have offered to pay to the State, for the ex-
tension and use of said front, a just and rea-
sonable compensation; Therefore,
Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the State Wharfinger, he and he is
hereby directed, to allot to the said Mason L.
Weems and others, owners and commanders of
the steamers Patuxent, Planter and Mary Wash-
ington, for the use and occupation of said line of
steamers, two hundred feet frontage of the State
of Maryland's wharf, opposite the State Tobacco
Warehouse, (No. 2,) in the city of Baltimore,
commencing for the same, at Smith's wharf, and
extending two hundred feet, at and for the yearly
rent of one thousand dollars, to be paid to the
State Wharfinger, in quarterly payments, of two
hundred and fifty dollars each, and at that rate
for so long a time as they may continue to use and
occupy the same; Provided, that nothing herein
contained, shall be construed to enlarge the rights
and privileges now and heretofore enjoyed by the
said parties; and that the Legislature reserves to
itself the right to repeal, alter or modify the
above resolutions at pleasure.

Resolution, authorising the Governor, to furnish
rifles and accoutrements, to the President of
Calvert College, at New Windsor, in Carroll
County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Governor, is hereby requested to furnish
to Andrew H. Baker, President of Calvert Col-
lege, at New Windsor, in Carroll county, forty
riles and all necessary accoutrements, including
