CHAPTER 403.
|

|
AN ACT to allow Nathan J. Lankford, late
Sheriff and Collector of Somerset county, fur-
ther time to complete his collections.
|

9, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Nathan J. Lankford, late
Sheriff of Somerset county, be and he is hereby
authorised, within twelve months from the passage
of this act, to complete his collections as Sheriff
and Collector of the State and County Taxes;
|

lections.

Provided, that nothing herein contained shall be
construed to extend the time of paying over any
money due from said Lankford, as sheriff or col-
lector, as aforesaid.
|
Proviso.
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
CHAPTER 404.

In force.

AN ACT to regulate the compensation of the
County Commissioners of Montgomery county.
|

8, 1858.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
of Montgomery county, be and they are hereby
allowed each three dollars for every day they may
be in session for business, and also, five cents mile-
age for every mile in going to the place of busi-
ness, but no mileage in returning.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into effect only after the expiration of the term of
office of the present County Commissioners of
Montgomery county.
