of the said married woman, and that the pre-
mium note given by such married woman and
her husband shall be a lien upon the real estate
so insured, and shall be as binding and effectual
upon such married woman as if she were sole and
unmarried.


CHAPTER 397.

AN ACT authorising the County Commissioners

of Queen Ann's county, to levy an additional
tax upon the assessable property in School Dis-
trict Number four, of said county.

9, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That at the annual meeting of
the taxable inhabitants of primary school district
number four, of Queen Ann's county, called for
the purpose of electing trustees for the school in
said district, a majority of those present shall be
authorised to determine the amount of money they
will raise, not exceeding two hundred dollars, in
addition to that now received under the act of
eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter eighty-
eight, to increase the salary of teacher, and de-
fray the current expenses of the school in said
district.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the trustees of
the school in said district, shall immediately after
their election, ascertain the names of every indi-
vidual holding property within the limits of said
school district, and return a list of the same, on
or before the first day of January, in each and
every year, to the county commissioners, stating
the additional sum to be levied upon the assessa-
ble property of said school district.

SEC 3. And be it enacted, That the county com-
missioners for said county, shall have this addi-
tional sum levied upon the assessable property of
said school district, and cause the same to be col-
lected, as other taxes are now collected, and paid
