the free colored population are now entitled to,
and that all penalties, fines and punishments in-
curred by the said Minerva Barnes removing
from another State into this, he remitted and re-
leased.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of J. Wesley White,
James H. League, Richard Brashears and Tho-
mas A. Mitchell.

priated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the sum of thirteen
hundred and thirty-seven dollars and fifty-one
cents, be and the same is hereby appropriated
for the payment of the following claims against
the State of Maryland, viz: for the payment of
J. Wesley White, for articles furnished the two
Houses of the Legislature; for the payment of
Thomas A. Mitchell, for work done to the State
House; for the payment of Richard Brashears,
for repairing mahogany chair; for the payment
of James H. League, for repairing lamps on the
hill of the State House.

Treasurer to
pay.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer
of the State shall, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller of the Treasury, pay to the following per-
sons: to J. Wesley White, the sum of twelve
hundred and sixty-five dollars and sixty-five
cents; to James H. League, the sum of three
dollars and eighty-one cents; to Richard Bra-
shears, one dollar and fifty cents; to Thomas A.
Mitchell, sixty-four dollars and fifty-five cents.
