CHAPTER 357.
|

|
|
A SUPPLEMENT to an act, entitled an act to
incorporate a company to construct a Turnpike
Road from Hagerstown, in Washington county,
to Smithburg, passed January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-three, chapter two hundred
and forty-nine, so as to permit the County
Commissioners of Washington county, to make
an additional subscription to the capital stock
of said company, and to authorise the President
and directors of said company, to change the
the location of the gates on said road.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the board of Commissioners
of Washington county be, and they are hereby
empowered to make a further subscription of fifty
shares to the capital of the Hagerstown and Smith-
burg Turnpike Company, if in their opinion it
shall be expedient for them to do so.

SEC. 2. And be it. enacted, That the President

eral Assembly, That certain citizens of the
village of Port Deposit, in Cecil county, have
formed themselves into an association for the
purpose of collecting a Library of literary and
scientific books, and of holding stated meetings
