lawful for any judge to order a Mandamus to issue
in the alternative, but in all cases where a Man-
damus shall be ordered to issue, it shall be
peremptory in form.
|

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That noth-
ing herein contained shall be construed to inter-
fere with the right of appeal in Mandamus coses,
as now used in this State, nor shall any thing
herein contained "bo construed to apply to any
case now pending in the Courts of this State.

act shall take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of the sureties on the
official bonds of Lloyd B. Smith.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sureties on the official
bonds of Lloyd B. Smith, as collector of State
Taxes in Allegany county, for the year eighteen
hundred and fifty-four, and for the year eighteen
hundred and fifty-five, be and they are hereby re-
leased from all further responsibility to the State

on account of said bonds; Provided however, that
the said Lloyd B. Smith, and his property shall
in no manner be released therefrom.
|
Proviso.
|

|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
