LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Treasurer to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer he, and he
is hereby required, on the warrant of the Comp-
troller, to pay and refund to the said John H.
Sansbury, or to his order, the said sum of fifty
dollars so as aforesaid by him paid into the
Treasury.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Mutual Insurance
Company of Somerset and Worcester coun-
ties.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That John White, Purnell
Toadvine, William Birckhead, William J. Leon-
ard, William H. Rider, Humphrey Humphreys,
William Freeny, Willam S. Parsons, Isaac H.
W. Standford, Thomas B. Moore, Isaac Nichols,
John W. Taylor, John W. Crisfield, William T.
G. Polk, John Dougherty, George S. Richard-
son, John R. Franklin, William E. Timmons,
Zadock Henry, Cyrus, L. Williams, John Derick-
son, James Whaley, James M. Fooks, Levin M.
Dashiels and John Gunby, and all other persons,
who may hereafter associate with them in the
manner herein prescribed, be and they are hereby
incorporated by the name of the Mutual Insurance
Company of Somerset and Worcester counties, for
the purpose of insuring their respective dwelling
houses, manufactories, mills, stores, shops, and
other buildings, merchandise, household furniture,
and other property, against loss and damage by
fire, and by such name shall have succession, to
sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded in any
court of law or equity in this State, to have, make
and use a common seal, and the same to break,
alter and renew at pleasure.
